You may qualify at the GS- 14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Applies knowledge and technical skills to evaluate and operate Multimedia Visual Information equipment/systems and applies the theories of graphic arts and communication design to ensure mission objectives are met. Prepares and utilize Multimedia Visual Information video/television products, graphic arts systems, and computer/electronic digital imaging delivery systems to optimize production and provide comprehensive training. Manages, oversees and implements security, safety and Multimedia Visual Information directives, instructions, policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance. Develops original ideas, designs, concepts, and visual styles to transform and translate oral and written subject matter and information into visual designs or information Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
Part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent leads, manages, trains, and develops competent Joint Staff multimedia (MM)/ visual information (VI) personnel to support activities necessary to meet Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staffs priorities through regular personal and electronic engagement at the senior level with the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Staff Directorates, Services, Combatant Commands (CCMD), and interagency partners.
