Qualifications Must possess a valid Class A driver’s license issued by the state of North Carolina. Must have 12 months of acceptable work experience operating a vehicle having the capacity and gear ratios of the type(s) of vehicles which he/she may be required to operate. Knowledge of the processing of wreck and impounded vehicles. Highly Preferred Qualification A minimum of two years’ experience in towing and transporting vehicles, including motorcycles and large passenger vans (capacity of 15 or more), using a tow truck or wrecker. Two years of proficiency in managing vehicle recovery and site remediation. In order to be considered for the highly preferred criteria, your resume must show that you meet BOTH the minimum qualifications, and ALL of the high preferred criteria. Applicants meeting ALL criteria will be considered best qualified, and will be referred to the selecting official first.
