Basic Requirement for 1515 Operations Research Analyst: Degree: Bachelor’s degree (or higher degree) in operations research; or a degree with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:1) applying analytical techniques and methods to plan, coordinate, and execute studies of systems and/or their sub-systems; 2) applying operations research methodology to analyze weapons systems AND 3) developing evaluation requirements when testing proposed systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DB-02/GS-11). About the Position: Serves as an Operations Research Analyst supporting decision analyses to inform Army leadership on issues in the materiel, personnel, training, and doctrine domains. Position is located in Fort Moore, GA.
