To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): Degree: Social work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the master’s degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GS-11: Three (3) years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level. This experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal service as described in the vacancy announcement. Examples include: collaborating with other health professional staff to assess client needs; refer clients, patients and families to community resources; and provide individual or group counseling. SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR: Incumbent must possess a current valid unrestricted license U.S. State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or a Licensed Medical Social Worker (LMSW). The position is located with the Gallup Indian Medical Center, Division of Clinical Services, Social Services branch in Gallup, New Mexico. The purpose of the position is to provide professional social work, discharge planning and case management activities. The work will require direct patient intervention, assessment, planning, coordinating and monitoring services with the various existing Federal, Tribal, State private and other local service providers.
