To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, you must meet basic qualifications by demonstrating at least (1) one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector. Specialized experience is performing duties such as performing the following types of duties: Providing information technology standards and practices as they relate to evaluating and resolving hardware and software problems; planning and improving information systems to meet the needs of customer requirements; troubleshooting end user computer hardware and software issues; maintaining systems accounts with various enterprise software programs; and maintenance of network server and LAN/WAN activities. Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. If your agency has notified you in writing that you are a displaced employee eligible for ICTAP consideration, you may receive selection priority if: 1) this vacancy is within your ICTAP eligibility; 2) you apply under the instructions in the announcement; and 3) you are found well-qualified for this vacancy.
