To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): Note: Employees currently assigned to positions in this 0610 occupational series as of September 2017 will be considered to have met the basic requirements for the position occupied. Education: A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required. This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. In addition to the above requirements, applicants must meet one of the following requirements, OR Completed a degree from Foreign Nursing School and have an Official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools. Licensure: Applicants must have active, current registration as a professional nurse in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:GS-0610-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Professional experience in use of clinical software and electronic health record applications, such as advising management and development of the software, demonstrating how to use reporting, and test to evaluate the software’s effectiveness. Demonstrates experience in multiple nursing specialties including a combination of inpatient experiences such as; the Progressive Care Unit, Med/surg, ED, ICU, Operating Room, PACU, or labor and delivery to ensure clinical software is working appropriately and effectively for the end user. Experience in clinical applications such as programming and or informatics. Demonstrate their ability to manage software implementation projects through the groups within their organization and how they are effective members of those teams. Lastly, the applicant would have to provide how they assist with planning, direction, implementation and troubleshooting of new and existing software packages to automate the clinical functions of a multi-disciplinary healthcare delivery system. OR Completed a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree from a professional nursing educational program or related medical science field. (Must provide evidence with your application documents if qualifying using this option). GS-0610-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Serve as the Clinical Applications Coordinator (CAC) in the implementation and ongoing support of multi-service clinical software applications. Serve as technical support and coordinator of applications that support Electronic Health Record (EHR). Provide training to staff on current software applications. Analyze, evaluate and assist with processes related to information flow. Communicate effectively, speak in front of groups and write policies, procedures, and training materials. Awareness of Medicare and Medicaid Interoperability Program Requirements and Reporting. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
This position is located at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center, located in Phoenix, Arizona. The incumbent serves as a specialist/integrator with the professional knowledge of a registered nurse in the implementation and ongoing support of multi-service clinical software applications used in the hospital and clinic setting. Provides consultative and advisory services of multi-service applications that support the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
