Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-11, you must have: a) One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level: Reviewing or interpreting policies, procedures, and guidelines for an organization’s programs or services; Applying evaluative techniques or methods to gather data concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program processes; Assisting with outreach and workshop activities to meet program goals and initiatives. OR b) Completed all requirements for a doctoral degree (i.e., Ph.D. or equivalent) in an appropriate field OR c) Completed 3 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or equivalent doctoral degree in an appropriate field OR d) LL.M., if related OR e) Have an equivalent combination of experience and graduate study as discussed in a), b), c) and d) above To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level: Providing administrative or programmatic support by maintaining records or streamlining processes for an organization; Analyzing or interpreting policies and procedures to recommend solutions to senior level management for the improvement of processes or services; Supporting the logistics of outreach and workshop activities to ensure alignment with program goals and initiatives. To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level: Coordinating programmatic and administrative functions for an organization to ensure the effective delivery of key initiatives and services; Developing managerial reports and presentations to optimize operational efficiency and support decision-making; Overseeing the planning and execution of outreach activities (e.g., conventions, workshops, or stakeholder engagement forums). As a Program Specialist supporting the NASA Ames Aeronautics Directorate, you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating various programs and projects within the directorate.
