Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must possess knowledge of outdoor recreational operations and/ or recreational program activities. Requires continuing ability to deal effectively with the public. Experience must demonstrate budgetary knowledge sufficient to analyze financial trends and advanced planning for recreation activities. Possesses physical ability to swim and rescue swimmers of all ages, including adults, and to administer CPR to adults, children, and infants. Must satisfactorily complete a local file check and a Tier I Level background check. Must possess a current Instructor (WSI)- Certification. Knowledge of Air Force, DoD, and Air Education and Training Command (AETC) policies, procedures is preferred but not required. This is a Position of Trust. Conditions of employment: Incumbent must satisfactorily complete a Tier Level 1 Background Check. Must satisfactory complete a pre-employment physical or within 60 days of appointment. Current valid state drivers license is required as incumbent will be required to drive a government vehicle. “This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.”
About the position: Incumbent will work in the Outdoor Recreation department that covers FamCamp and Aquatic activities. This is a Regular Part-Time (RPT) position with benefits (medical, dental, life insurance, retirement, 401(k), and annual/sick leave.
