Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic without more than normal supervision. Must possess the ability to perform common tasks including install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various types of highly complex electronic sensing and control systems; interpret and apply engineering drawings to trace signal flow through less complex systems during troubleshooting; and perform or assist with installing, repairing, maintaining, and testing equipment and machinery used in the production of ammunition. – Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Do the Work of the Position without More Than Normal Supervision Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, and Repair, etc. Theory of Electronics Troubleshooting (Electronic Equipment) PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work assignments require moderate physical effort. You must be capable to frequent lifts, carries, or otherwise handles items weighing up to 40 pounds. Occasionally handles items greater than 40 pounds. Assistance is usually available with heavy items. Works in a sitting position for extended periods. Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, reaching, and stooping is required. Occasionally, climbing ladders and working in high places will be required. The two person lift limit is 100 pounds and will only be used for single event, non-routine lifts. WORKING CONDITIONS: This position requires work usually to be performed inside in well lighted, heated, and ventilated areas. When equipment is fixed in place, it is sometimes necessary to work in warehouse or industrial areas exposed to loud noises, heat or cold, fumes, etc. Work is subject to injuries, such as electric shock, cuts, and bruises, as well as burns caused by electrical energy or soldering irons.

About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at McAlester Army Ammunition Plant. This position installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs industrial electronic sensing and control systems.
