In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which includes establishing adequate means of follow-up on work assignments and reviewing results for adherence to policy, feasibility, and the required level of quality; rendering advice during life of contract concerning engineering features and consideration of controversies and disputes that arise between contractors and project engineers; determining whether contractor performed work meets standards of adequacy necessary for authorization of payment; providing contract administration assistance to project engineers regarding claims, change orders, modifications, payment estimates, and supplemental agreements; applying extensive engineering, construction, and management knowledge and experience to fully plan, coordinate, and direct work necessary to execute within established budgets and timeframes; and directing and approving facility and system sustainment and administrative procedures using engineering, construction, and cost reimbursable contracting principles. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications Engineering Planning, Design, and Construction Facilities Engineering Requirements Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (G-13).
