Only experience and education obtained by 11/04/2024 will be considered. In order to qualify for this position you must possess both the Basic Requirement and Minimum Qualification. Basic Requirement: Possess a degree in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position; OR Possess a combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in 1 above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. Minimum Qualification [GS-11] Possess at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Specialized experience includes: 1) Assisting in the development and implementation of aquatic and upland restoration activities on private, state, county, local municipality, Tribal, or Federal lands; 2) Working with a wide variety of partners, including watershed councils, local municipalities, public works departments, Tribes, state agencies and installations, Federal agencies, non-governmental organizations, and private individuals for developing and implementing habitat restoration activities; 3) Providing technical expertise to a variety of teams, boards, cadres, and efforts; and 4) Providing budgetary assistance, tracking funding for projects, and tracking project progress related to conservation habitat restoration on private lands. NOTE: Your resume must contain sufficient information in these areas to be found qualified; OR Completed 3 years of graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree in wildlife biology, ecology, or a directly related field appropriate to this position; OR Possess an equivalent combination of professional experience and graduate level education beyond the second year which together equals 100% of the requirements. Minimum Qualification [GS-12] Possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Specialized experience includes:(1) developing and implementing aquatic and upland restoration actions on a variety of land ownerships; (2) working with a variety of partners (e.g., watershed councils, local municipalities, public works departments, Tribes, state agencies, federal agencies, non-governmental organizations, and private individuals) to develop and implement habitat restoration activities; (3) providing technical advisement related to conservation habitat restoration on private lands to various teams, boards, cadres, and efforts; and (4) utilizing databases and other data collection software to manage budgetary processes, track funding for projects, and track project progress related to conservation habitat restoration on private lands. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
