In addition to the Basic Education Requirement (in the Education section below), to qualify for this position you must meet the requirements below and have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above. To qualify at the GS-14 level, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level: Designing, developing, and testing electrical or electronic components or systems; Preparing for and presenting at project milestone reviews; Communicating/collaborating with external interfaces/engineering disciplines to achieve common final product. The Instrument Electronics Development Branch at the Goddard Space Flight Center is seeking a skilled individual to join their management team as Associate Branch Head (ABH). You will be responsible for supervision of branch employees and providing technical management related to the design, development, and testing of instrument electronics on IRADs, balloon missions, sounding rockets, and flight missions. The ABH role is half-time supervisory and half-time technical.
