MANDATORY CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: You MUST possess the following Certifications: Fire Officer IV Fire Instructor II Fire Inspector II Hazardous Materials Incident Commander ICS 300 ICS 400 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume and any other supporting documentation you wish to provide must clearly substantiate you currently possess 36 months of specialized experience in the following: Experience, education, or training in one or more or the following: Controlling or extinguishing fires as a member of an organized military, industrial, volunteer, or governmental fire department or brigade. Rescue operations. Detection, reduction, or elimination of potential fire hazards. Operation of fire communications equipment. Controlling hazardous materials incidents. Developing, implementing, or providing training in fire protection and prevention Firefighting and fire prevention theory and techniques. Fixed and mobile firefighting equipment operation. Planning, directing, or carrying out fire protection and prevention programs and operations. Performing emergency medical services Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks involved. Knowledge of fire fighting theory and techniques. Knowledge of fire/crash rescue operations. Ability to cope with emergency operations. Ability to plan and direct fire protection/prevention programs and operations. Knowledge of fire prevention inspection codes; theory and techniques. COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENT: All applications will be considered regardless of AFSC. Incumbent will be required to be assigned to compatible military position within 1 year of selection. The selected individual may be required to attend formal technician school training. THIS IS A TITLE 32 DUAL STATUS POSITION DUTY LOCATION: 103d Civil Engineer Squadron (CES), East Granby, CT AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION: Area 1: All currently employed full-time permanent and indefinite personnel of the CTANG. Area 2: All currently employed full-time temporary technician personnel and all current traditional members of the CTANG. Area 3: Individuals eligible for membership in the CTANG. Membership must be satisfied within four (4) months of selection.
