Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s). Supervising or administering a training program. Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-12 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility . Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: – Reviewing, updating instructional materials, analyzing change recommendations, and conducting curricula support. – Conducing classroom and virtual course instruction, facilitating discussions and answering student questions. – Developing and implementing instructional materials curricula with a security area of focus, to participate in curriculum reviews and evaluations adapting curricula to established technology-based platforms, methods and techniques. – Understanding, disseminating and translating difficult, complex, and/or ambiguous regulations, procedures, and policy into learning objectives and easily understood concepts for incorporation into curricula and advising students and stakeholders. – Utilizing National level security policies to evaluate, develop, implement and maintain Security curricula. Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies: Education / Training Program Administration: Technical- Subject Matter Expert: Organize, plan, and coordinate the functions, provisions, schedules, and administrative activities, which are required to conduct education and training programs. Manage the organization, operation, and resources to facilitate instruction and future planning. Instructional Delivery and Learner Development- General Job Analysis: Deliver, provide, and monitor training and education for individuals and groups within learning environments. Tailor and adapt instruction to ensure learners’ needs are met and learning outcomes are achieved. 5697 Instructional Design Technical- Subject Matter Expert(s) Design and select training and educational methods and strategies for targeted competencies. Sequence instructional components for application in new or existing learning programs to satisfy programmatic requirements.
