To see if your institution is accredited, please follow this link: http://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/Search.aspx For the GS-13 applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate: Serve as team leader on sensitive civil, and administrative investigation cases relating to fraud, waste and abuse; and Participates in investigative reporting procedures, conducting research, analyzing and interpreting federal, state and local regulations and information; and Identifies, plans, coordinates, and conducts extensive internal and external training and outreach relative to program areas and investigative activities. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume should include the dates of all qualifying experience (from month/year to month/year) and the number of hours worked/volunteered per week.
This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General, Office of Investigations. Term Appointment for two years, with one-year extensions, up to 4 years total. Salary will be set based on the grade, step, and location of the selectee(s) and/or position.
