AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS MECHANIC (TITLE 32)

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. Selected candidate must be MOS qualified within 12 months from date of appointment. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion). Maximum Military Grade – TSgt (E-6) Minimum Military Grade – A1C (E-3) Enlisted – AFSC 2W1XX, 2A6X3, or 3E8XX GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education or training which demonstrates the applicant’s ability to repair malfunctions of ordnance equipment and components to use sketches, electrical diagrams, technical specifications and engineering drawings in accomplishing their work. Must be skilled in the use of test equipment to make electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic checks. WG-10 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 18 months of specialized experience in a position engaged in functions such as installation, maintenance, or repair of aircrew egress systems that demonstrate the experience and/or appropriate training, a thorough knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical principles as applied to aircrew egress systems; and of the use and interpretation of blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical publications.
