At the GS-13 level, you must meet the following qualification: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limited to: experience using an organization’s mission, programs, function, policies, objectives, and management principles and processes to determine the best process flows relating to human resources hiring activities; made recommendations for resolving competing requests related to manpower management and hiring approvals; advised and collaborated with management on human capital programs related to available options, guide decision-making on actions, and quality review documents for higher-level management approval; and served as a technical expert on organization and workforce operations to advise on organization and workforce operations related to position management and/or business case organizational structures. TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
This position is part of the Interior Business Center (IBC), Human Resources Directorate (HRD), Financial Management Business Operations Office. The incumbent will serve as the internal source for administrative and interrelated staffing processes, to coordinate services and support for Human Resources Directorate (HRD) Divisions and senior management, and to provide administrative support on personnel processes.
