Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Offer technical advice to engineers and technicians with respect to system problems resolution and development or evaluation of new and proposed Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) systems, to include but not limited to Recovery Assist, Securing and Traversing (RAST) system, Visual Landing Aid (VLA) Lighting Systems, Jet Propulsion (JP5) fuel systems and aircraft crash and fire protection systems. 2) Offer technical advice and assistance on the acceptance, installation, operation, or maintenance of assigned aviation systems, to include but not limited to Recovery Assist, Securing and Traversing (RAST) system, Visual Landing Aid (VLA) Lighting Systems, Jet Propulsion (JP5) fuel systems and aircraft crash and fire protection systems. 3) Discuss problems encountered and explain corrective action to reduce error ratio within the department, to include but not limited to Recovery Assist, Securing and Traversing (RAST) system, Visual Landing Aid (VLA) Lighting Systems, Jet Propulsion (JP5) fuel systems and aircraft crash and fire protection systems. 4) Orally communicate with customers to keep them advised of the status and availability of equipment, to include but not limited to Recovery Assist, Securing and Traversing (RAST) system, Visual Landing Aid (VLA) Lighting Systems, Jet Propulsion (JP5) fuel systems and aircraft crash and fire protection systems. 5) Provide inspection reports of results of tests and inspections regarding the condition of the API systems/equipment to include but not limited to Recovery Assist, Securing and Traversing (RAST) system, Visual Landing Aid (VLA) Lighting Systems, Jet Propulsion (JP5) fuel systems and aircraft crash and fire protection systems Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
