To qualify for the GS-10 level, your resume must reflect at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity in federal service having demonstrated experience in all items listed under GS-09 or experience in one of the following: leading a bathymetric survey with single and/or multi beam. Helped plan various types of surveys using an advanced knowledge of surveying; Applied a practical knowledge of the basic theories and practices of surveying; Used resourcefulness, initiative, and independent judgment in resolving the details of projects; Prepared field notes, reference maps and sketches for surveying analysis; Processed, evaluated, and edited electronic field data for entry into a computer aided mapping, design, and analysis system. Has successfully led several surveying projects and delivered the final product to the customers. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Selective Placement Factor: This position requires a current, valid Driver’s License. Failure to provide proof of such license will cause you to be rated ineligible for this position. You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including any selective placement factors if applicable, by 11/07/2024.
