In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions located here SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NJ-01 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04 in the Federal Service. Specialized experiences include all facets of supply management, equipment management, inventory management, and tool and parts attendant. Provide supply support, overhaul, repair, or other operations for equipment and/or parts requiring special handling. Review requisitions, supporting documents and reference material to determine if priority supply action is required, the status of the action, changes in requirements, and unexpected requirements. Determine stock levels needed for recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion. Provide technical assistance and guidance to coworkers and employees on the regulatory requirements for submitting and processing a wide variety of supply transactions. Inspects tools and incoming shipments for quantities and possible damage. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, techniques and methods. Knowledge of supply functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods Knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system. Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents, reports spreadsheets, databases and graphs. Ability to research, compile and analyze supply information and data; receive, screen review, verify and maintain supply documents; and resolve discrepancies. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Desired Skills: 1 year equivalent to at least GS-4 Knowledge of supply functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods Ability to research, compile and analyze supply information and data; receive, screen review, verify and maintain supply documents; and resolve discrepancies. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
