You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. You must meet the screen-out element Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (Screen out), normally addressed at the beginning of the online questions. To meet the screen-out element, applicants must have: Experience working as a Journeyman Pressman, operating a large format Offset Press, without direct supervision on recurring tasks. All unusual situations are referred to a supervisor.In addition, you must also obtain an average score of two (2) for the following elements for this position as addressed through the online question in order to be considered minimally qualified.Your application will be evaluated in the following areas: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (Screen out) Operation of Printing Press, Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Office of Currency Manufacturing – Deputy Plant Manager WCF. As a Plate Printer (Intermediate), you will receive intaglio production print training to be able to perform work utilizing a variety of complex and high-speed plate printing presses. After successful completion of the training period, you will be asked to operate a press while performing all the duties included in the previous training.
