LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Experience and ability to work harmoniously with people of different backgrounds and organizations. (2) Expert knowledge of and experience in analysis concepts, logistic practices, inventory principles, planning and implementation of weapons systems capabilities and the MK-48 and ILS. (3) Experience and technical ability and managerial discipline required to plan and execute the Navy’s approach to MK-48 and TLAM ILS for a submarine weapon system. (4) Experience and ability to prepare and present convincing oral briefings and written presentations to any level of government and to effectively prove and justify significant deviations from established COMSUBLANT ILS or weapons policy and to defend necessary modifications to previously approved plans. (5) Experience and ability to apply analytical techniques to fiscal data and recognize trends and identify problem areas. (6) Experience and extensive knowledge of English grammar and composition skills and Naval correspondence sufficient to prepare required Naval letters, messages, directives and point papers, and to interpret instructions and procedures. (7) Knowledge of Navy and Type Commander organizational structure, command relationships and chain of command. Understanding of Navy technical, maintenance, and material terminology. (8) Experience and Expert knowledge of the functions, capabilities, and limitations of ashore MK-48 and ADCAP Torpedo Intermediate Maintenance Activities (IMAs) to oversee, verify and validate efficient and cost effective operations. (9) Experience and expert knowledge of submarine tactical weapons logistics, transportation, and security requirements and familiarity with supply procedures as they pertain to submarine tactical weapons logistics. (10) Experience and detailed knowledge of OPNAV, U.S. Fleet Forces and COMSUBFOR P2P policies, processes and procedures to develop data driven metrics that inform the Force Commander’s warfighting readiness plan. (11) Experience and detailed knowledge of COMSUBLANT/COMSUBPAC OPORD 3061 to develop data drive metrics that will load submarine ordnance in the most efficient manner to support execution of the Submarine Response Plan (SRP). You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Training, Tactical Weapons, Tactical Development and Force Improvement Division (N7) of SUBLANT CENTRALLY MGD PROGRAM.
