Minimum of 1 full year teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation or equivalent experience in training, employee engagement, or organizational development roles. Thorough understanding of employee engagement strategies, organizational behavior, and adult learning principles. Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire employees at all levels. Expertise in instructional design, e-learning development tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Office with the ability to utilize Excel for forecasting and budgeting of awards. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively prepare and deliver awards, recognition, and official documents to supervisors and staff. Impeccable organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
The Veterans Canteen Service (VCS), Central Office, located on the Jefferson Barracks VAMC campus in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Training Specialist in our Human Resources Division to lead the development and implementation of our organizations Awards and Recognition Program. This position will report to the Employee Development Manager.
