For GS-11: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level of GS-09 in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA’s) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Qualifying specialized experience at the GS-11 level includes two of the following: . Utilizing the basic concepts of financial principles, including budget analysis, and preparation of financial management reports. . Utilizing the knowledge of financial and program practices, policies, functions to advise management on the improvement of finance and program operations. . Conducting oversight of financial management systems to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. . Providing training and technical assistance to organizations to improve internal controls. . Planning and making modifications to financial systems and/or accounting program operations, or to investigate and analyze financial data reported by external entities to resolve problems. Note: Please be sure these types of examples are evident in your resume. -OR- 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.
