Mandatory Requirements: Demonstrated knowledge of analytic tradecraft and quality standards as applied to the drafting, review, and production of finished intelligence products. Extensive multidisciplinary teaming skills and ability to collaborate effectively with senior analysts/authors, production specialists, and management to complete projects. Expert in adjusting work schedule to meet occasional high production demands and/or assist with crisis tasking. Demonstrated exceptional writing and grammar skills; ability to make editorial recommendations to improve message clarity, story flow/structure, internal consistency, and treatment of analytic alternatives, graphics/maps, outlook and implications in IC products. Demonstrated knowledge of editorial principles and an eagle eye for detail. Extensive ability to formulate constructive reviewing comments; strong communication skills for eliciting and sharing information with authors and project stakeholders. Extensive experience with platforms/tools used, such as Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse, creative, fast-paced project team environment; flexibility, teamwork, and a positive outlook are essential. Extensive knowledge of organizational protocol policies and procedures and of quality assurance procedures to ensure data integrity and timeliness; extensive knowledge of filing and records management systems and practices. Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills, including demonstrated ability to interpret complex information from multiple sources. Demonstrated time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks with competing deadlines and superior ability to work effectively under extremely tight deadlines. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and superior ability to work effectively with individuals at the highest levels of government; confidence and effectiveness in working with government officials as well as with senior Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) officers. Bachelor’s degree. Desired Requirements: Eight or more years of related work experience. Expert experience working in an intelligence production unit-e.g. at CIA/DA, NCTC/DI, or DIA-and with professional editors and publication officers who produce finished intelligence analysis. Superior knowledge of production methodology for publishing products in hardcopy and/or electronic formats; thorough knowledge of both electronic and hardcopy dissemination mechanisms. Familiarity with the US Intelligence Community, the NIC’s role, and NIC intelligence products; an understanding of NIC estimative tradecraft, which combines strategic analysis, warning, risk analysis, alternative analysis, and other forward-leaning approaches using short and longer product formats.
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) Directorate for Mission Integration (MI) creates a consistent and holistic view of intelligence from collection to analysis and serves as the Director of National Intelligences (DNI) principal advisor on all aspects of intelligence. MI integrates mission capabilities, informs enterprise resource and policy decisions, and ensures the delivery of timely, objective, accurate, and relevant intelligence.
