Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized experience: to qualify at the GS-05 grade level: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Processing all personnel actions with supervision; 2) Preparing documents such as correspondence, letters, and statistical reports with supervisor input; and 3) Reviews records with to ensure all of the Soldiers information is accurate and work is then reviewed for accuracy from the supervisor. Specialized experience: to qualify at the GS-06 grade level: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Processing all personnel actions with assistance if necessary; 2) Preparing documents such as correspondence, letters, and statistical reports with supervisor input if necessary; and 3) Reviews records with assistance to ensure all of the Soldiers information is accurate. Specialized experience: to qualify at the GS-07 grade level: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is defined as:1) Processing all personnel actions; 2) Preparing documents such as correspondence, letters, and statistical reports; and 3) Reviews records to ensure all of the Soldiers information is accurate. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Clerical Human Resources Technology Usage Oral Communication For GS-05 – Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04). For GS-06 – Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05). For GS-07 – Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
