INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEMS SPECIALIST

You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Expert knowledge of learning theories and principles of occupational analysis and training administration polices, concepts, procedures, principles and methodology applicable to instructional system development and design for a formal Agency wide training program. Experience leading training or engagement initiatives for a large Agency or comparable organization necessary to develop the knowledge and skills of a geographically dispersed workforce. Experience performing such functions as planning and conducting events or activities to inform and educate stakeholder in a headquarters level organization representing leaders in obtaining or resolving issues or concerns with educational instructional support services, defending the need for educational support services. Highly skilled in communicating orally and in writing in and effective manner with all levels of personnel in both federal and commercial organizations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Must meet positive education requirements specified in the OPM qualification standards
