The Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Individual Occupational Requirements (IORs) for the Information Technology, 2210 series are as follow: Attention to Detail – is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail; Customer Service – Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services; Oral Communication – expressing information (e.g. ideas or facts) to individuals or groups, taking into account the audience and nature of information (e.g. technical, sensitive, controversial); making clear and convincing oral presentations; listening to others, attending to nonverbal cues and responding appropriately; and Problem Solving – Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Evaluates and recommends the acquisition of, implementation of, and dissemination of IT security tools, procedures, and practices to protect information assets. Plans and coordinates the delivery of IT security training programs at all levels in the organization. Provides guidance in planning and implementing migration activities. Updates the agencies contingency or disaster recovery plans to respond to new security requirements. Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
