QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (SHIPBUILDING)

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying naval shipyard policies and procedures related to engineering, planning, production and administration and developing sound recommendations for program and process improvements. Experience demonstrating oral and written communication skills sufficient to conduct interviews and training classes, and prepare clear, informative written reports. Experience interpreting drawings, plans, specifications, job orders, and other documents used by the Production Resources Department Shops. Experience utilizing basic ship types, configurations and systems to facilitate shipboard onsite inspections of failed systems/components. Experience utilizing quality assurance concepts, principles, and methodology to utilize in developing and implementing an effective, economical shipyard Quality Assurance program. Experience conducting audits/investigations/ analysis of shipyard programs, processes, and products and analyze results on a cumulative basis to identify quality trends.
