The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OE SUPERVISE Diagnosing various types of Marine Machinery equipment problems, by applying a variety of methods, techniques or procedures, maintaining liaison with other trade and technical personnel and providing continuous leadership over the efforts of other machinists, apprentices and other shop employees performing assignments. Planning and laying out work orders associated with the overhaul, repair and maintenance of ships machinery and equipment. Using machine tools for milling, grinding, machining, facing, boring, and drilling along with the use of various portable machines. You will serve as a Machinist Leader in the Mechanical Shop (Code 930) Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900) at the NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
