The Hiring Manager/Selecting Official will be utilizing an available flexibility wherein applicants who are currently enrolled and expected to complete the required education and obtain the required licensure/certification/registration with 9 month(s) of applying may be deemed tentatively qualified. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): Education: A doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Licensure: All applicants must have passed the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX) and the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE). Applicants also must be licensed to practice pharmacy in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Those who will be meeting the Education and Licensure requirement within the 9-month period will be tentatively qualified and referred. If selected, you will be required to provide Official Transcript and Valid Pharmacy License before appointment. Medical Requirements: Applicants must be able to distinguish basic colors. Basic Requirements for the GS-11 (or equivalent) Grade Level: Three (3) years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D., Pharm.D., or equivalent doctoral degree. **IMPORTANT NOTE** – There are additional application requirements for this vacancy. The purpose of this position is to serve as a Pharmacy Resident Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) in a training position performing a variety of developmental assignments intended to increase or further the knowledge, skills, and abilities in the incumbents area of expertise, and then transition to an advanced Pharmacy Resident PGY2. In the PGY2, the incumbent shall train in advanced areas of pharmacy practice, as well as perform assignments in pharmacy administration and healthcare leadership.
