You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. You must meet the screen-out element: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision, normally addressed at the beginning of the online questions. To meet the screen-out element, applicants must have: Experience working with complex integrated electronic equipment and electrical systems under close direction of a supervisor. In addition, you must also obtain an average score of two (2) for the following elements for this position as addressed through the online question in order to be considered minimally qualified. Your application will be evaluated in the following areas: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision, Knowledge of Equipment, Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. and Theory of Electronics.
This position is located at US Mint,MINT- West Point – Plant Manager – Plant Engineering Maint Section. As an Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic, you will perform installation, maintenance, trouble analysis, rebuilding, overhauling, modifying, aligning and calibrating of integrated electronic equipment, electrical systems (computer, security and fire systems, data lines) and machinery used for numismatic coin production and packaging.
