The Hiring Manager/Selecting Official may elect to utilize an available flexibility wherein applicants who are actively completing a required professional training program and are expected to complete such program within 9 month(s) of applying, may be deemed tentatively qualified. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): Education: A doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Licensure: All applicants must have passed the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX) and the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE). Applicants also must be licensed to practice pharmacy in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Those who will be meeting the Education and Licensure requirement within the 9-month period will be tentatively qualified and referred. If selected, you will be required to provide Official Transcript and Valid Pharmacy License before appointment. Medical Requirements: Applicants must be able to distinguish basic colors. Basic Requirements for the GS-11 (or equivalent) Grade Level: 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D., Pharm.D., or equivalent doctoral degree. Selective Factor: In addition to the minimum qualification requirements, completion of PGY1 program is required to qualify for the PGY2 program. You must provide your PGY1 certificate or provide a letter from your current PGY1 program documenting your anticipated completion date. The purpose of this position is to serve as an advanced Pharmacy Resident in a Postgraduate Year Two (PGY2) training position. The incumbent shall train in advanced areas of pharmacy practice, as well as perform assignments intended to improve knowledge, skills, and abilities in clinical and administrative fields. Incumbent must have successfully completed a postgraduate year one (PGY1) pharmacy residency. Position reports to the Local Residency Program Director.
