Human Resources will determine your qualifications for each entry grade level based on your interest and the additional following criteria. One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. To be hired at the GS-7 entry grade level, applicants must minimally have one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of a GS-05 within the federal service that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Specialized Experience For The GS-07 Is Defined As: Performing administrative and support functions by gathering, consolidating, and analyzing various types of information needed to assist office and management personnel; advising others on regulations and instructions, answering questions and remedying standard problems referred by organization officers or operating officials. To be hired at the GS-9 entry grade level, applicants must minimally have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the federal service which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Specialized Experience For The GS-09 Is Defined As: Applying knowledge of rules, procedures, operations and functions of an organization in order to perform administrative work in a variety of administrative areas such as budget, personnel management, training, initiating personnel actions, correspondence routing; project planning or scheduling events. To be hired at the GS-11 entry grade level, applicants must minimally have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the federal service which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Specialized Experience For The GS-11 Is Defined As: Interpreting and applying administrative management policies, regulations, and procedures to collaborate with budget, manpower, and administrative staff; coordinating the orientation of new employees and/or providing administrative support and facilitation services for organizations. Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. To be considered for the GS-7, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-5 or higher in the Federal service. To be considered for the GS-9, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-7 or higher in the Federal service. To be considered for the GS-11, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-9 or higher in the Federal service. You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
