This is an interdisciplinary position and may be filled by a General Engineering (0801 series), Mechanical Engineer (0830-series), or a Chemical Engineering (0893 Series) depending upon the qualifications of the candidate. In addition to the Basic Education Requirements, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-4 (GS-12/13 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as: a professional Engineer providing technical leadership to support the areas of design, research and development, construction progress of submarine engineering systems, or project mitigation plans for advancing new products or emerging technologies. You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the Program Support Branch in the Acoustic Signatures Technology Division (Code 721), ofCARDEROCK DIV NS. This position will be at the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) in the VIRGINIA Class Submarine Program Office (PMS 450) located at the Washington Navy Yard, Washington, D.C. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.
