In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Mechanical Engineer/Aerospace Engineer: Professional ability to apply engineering knowledge is defined as the ability to (a) apply fundamental and diversified professional engineering concepts, theories, and practices to achieve engineering objectives with versatility, judgment, and perception; (b) adapt and apply methods and techniques of related scientific disciplines; and (c) organize, analyze, interpret, and evaluate scientific data in the solution of engineering problems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1) A broad background in scientific and technical disciplines relevant to aircraft structures to include but not limited to metal and composite structure, flight control surfaces, corrosion control, aircraft repair and modification, and fatigue and strength analysis; 2) Effectively leading a team to provide sustainment support for military aircraft, in addition to performing supervisory and managerial duties; 3) Skilled communicator capable of effectively engaging a wide array of individuals. You will serve as either a Senior Subsystems Engineer (Mechanical/Aerospace) or a Senior Support Equipment Engineer (Mechanical/Aerospace) in the C-130 FST Engineering Division of FLTREADCEN EAST.
