Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in applying employee and labor relations principles, practices, and legal and regulatory requirements. Must be able to identify potential problems, and solutions, and have the skills to analyze a variety of conflicting or incomplete data. Ability to represent management in third-party proceedings and understanding of national collective bargaining agreements. Proficient in fact-finding, interviewing, and case management techniques for advising on and conducting investigations like AIB, DAB, and OAWP. Systems knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask and work effectively to meet deadlines with a willingness to shift priorities as needed.
The Veterans Canteen Service (VCS), Central Office, located on the Jefferson Barracks VAMC campus in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Human Resources Specialist (Employee/Labor Relations). This candidate will serve as a key advisor on employee relations matters, ensuring the organization maintains positive and productive relationships with employees and labor unions. This position will work under the supervision of the Supervisory HR Specialist ER/LR.
