SAFETY, ENVIRONMENTAL AND ASSET PROTECTION SPECIALIST, NF-3

U.S. Marine Corps - Department of the Navy

Must have a combination of 3 years¿ experience that demonstrates understanding of classification storage and disposal of hazardous material, understanding of integrity inspections on equipment and property, general safety policies, and administrative skills. Must be familiar with OSHA and EPA regulations and obtain OSHA training within six (6) months of date of hire. Must have good oral and writing skills. Must be willing to perform minor travel for necessary trainings and multiple installations support. Must possess excellent customer service skills and general clerical methods and techniques, including skills to prepare documentation and presentations in a proper format in accordance with naval correspondence. Ability to operate a personal computer and use various software systems to create and generate reports. Must be proficient in ESAMS or become proficient within one year. Work requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting and may be required to work in extreme environmental conditions. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 55lbs independently and objects over 55lbs with assistance.
