In order to meet the Basic Qualification Requirements for a Supervisory Health Science Policy Analyst, GS-0601, you must meet: Education Requirement: In order to qualify for Health Science Policy Analyst, GS-0601, position level you must have successfully completed a bachelor’s degree or graduate/higher level degree with major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. (This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: In addition to the basic education requirements, you must demonstrate at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the federal government obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: developing and implementing biomedical research policies with internal and external stakeholders; analyzing the impact of proposed policies on current biomedical research procedures and practices; leading staff carry out scientific program priorities and objectives; providing advisory services to senior leadership on biomedical research policy issues affecting the organization; and writing high level reports or testimony related to biomedical research policy. You will receive credit for all experience material to the position, including experience gained in religious, civic, welfare, service, and organizational activities, regardless of whether you received pay. The ideal candidate for the Science Policy Coordination, Collaboration & Reporting Division has experience working well on teams and identify biomedical research strategic priorities for an organization. This candidate will have experience working with legislative matters, strong communication skills, and will have lead outreach and engagement efforts. They will be able to pivot between time sensitive and long term priorities, with the ability to prioritize between them.
