Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying technical knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of naval architectural damage control. Experience interpreting requirements outlined in technical reference/instructions, validating data, conveying data, providing reports Experience resolving a broad range of problems affecting different processes and systems to include structural, mechanical, electrical engineering disciplines, and communicating recommendations concerning complex damage control problems. Experience reading ship’s drawings and applying knowledge of ship damage control abilities as well as responding to casualties. You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (NAVAL ARCHITECTURE) in the Naval Architectural Branch Damage Control Section (Code 258), Structural Engineering and Planning Division (Code 250), Office of the Chief Engineer (Code 240), Engineering and Planning Department (Code 200) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
