MATERIALS HANDLER (TITLE 32)

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service “under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709” and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians. First consideration will be given to Category 1 PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. FLARNG BUS Code NG5022: This position is “included” in the bargaining unit and eligible for labor organization representation. The current exclusive representative is The Association of Civilian Technicians, Chapter 87 and the President is Mr. Michael Ortmayer at actch87@gmail.com. Military Grades: Enlisted- E2 thru E6 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience or training which demonstrates the ability to compare item identification against receiving reports and issue request forms; skill in using hand trucks, dollies, and other equipment to move stock; ability to use hammers, pliers, and other hand tools; and to follow oral and written instructions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:WG06 Must have least 9 months of experience or training in receiving, packaging, and preparation for shipment; experience in compiling reports, overall warehouse planning, documentation requirements, and accepted warehousing methods, procedures, and techniques; experience in setting up and rotating storage locations considering factors such as life expectancy, available space, product turnover, etc.
