To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level: Scheduling or monitoring range assets (i.e. asset conflict resolution, personnel constraints, and overtime management for contract staff) for flight test planning and coordinating project requirements with senior management; Participating in mission real-time support by providing recommendations and guidance to agency personnel on the utilization of range resources; managing related resources; and tracking and resolving issues; Communicating organizational capabilities to other directorates to meet mission requirements and drive innovative solutions. You will serve as the Lead of Range Operations providing administrative leadership for diverse cutting-edge high performance flight research vehicles, airborne science missions, International Space Station operation, and development and test of next generation space vehicles. As lead, the focus is on the operations of the NASA Dryden Aeronautical Test Range (DATR).
