This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE Installing and operating on various high-pressure piping systems and equipment such as: steam heating, steam generation, vacuum systems, radiators, and circulating pumps. Instructing subordinates on work steps or requirements using shop training tools such as: mock-ups, in shop work areas or facilities, and on deck plates. Demonstrating proper work methods, reporting to supervisor on status of work and causes for delays, planning, laying out, and completing the installation, modification, repair and maintenance of various piping systems and equipment. Work with others to perform duties such as: layout, cutting, bending, threading, and assembling pipe and fittings from blueprints and sketches on various shop machinery and equipment. Interpreting and applying blueprints, sketches, drawings, technical instructions and work orders to perform assigned job duties.
