Responsibilities Continued: With the RA, is responsible for creating and maintaining an atmosphere that promotes positive human relations and open communication between employees and their supervisors. Assures that all employees have the opportunity to effectively contribute to accomplishing, FAA, APL and ARA goals and objectives. Serves as the regional focal point for constant, high level contacts with recipients of regional services to ensure that services provided meet or exceed requirements. Carries out the full range of the RA’s duties and responsibilities in his or her absence or as delegated during crises or emergency situations. Minimum Qualifications: To qualify for this FV-0301-K position, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, FV-J/FG-14/GS-14. Specialized experience includes: Experience in managing agency and/or organizational performance, resources, outreach and facilities programs for effective service delivery and experience representing an organization to congressional and aviation community officials, the media, and/or the general public. Experience with managing a workload in a fast-paced, high profile, and politically sensitive environment. Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history.
As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the managers individual performance, and available funding. This position serves as the Deputy Regional Administrator in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Western-Pacific Region.
