SUPERVISORY ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER OR SCIENTIST

In addition to the SPF and Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Managing and providing oversight for all environmental permits and plans associated with multiple programs (i.e. clean water and air, hazardous waste, storm water, oil operations, natural and cultural resources) and regulations to ensure environmental compliance; 2) Serving as a subject matter expert on environmental laws and regulations, manage all regulatory communications and negotiations; 3) Performing all supervisory personnel functions and administrative requirements to manage multiple personnel disciplines and expertise; 4) Coordinating all environmental execution requirements, and implement an effective EMS program; and 5) Enforcing program budget requirements to maintain compliance with permits and programs. You will serve as a Supervisory Environmental Engineer or Physical Scientist in the NAVFAC Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC). This position is part of the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC) Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-03 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 through GS-14. The position has a control point equivalent to the GS-13 Step 10 grade.
