The Ideal Candidate: Division of Practice Improvement (DPI): Demonstrate adequate knowledge and experience in clinical, health services, and/or health policy research. Candidates with multidisciplinary experience in behavioral, implementation, and/or social sciences particularly as it relates to transforming and improving quality of healthcare delivery in practices and systems are encouraged to apply. Digital Healthcare Research (DDHR): Experience in managing, monitoring, and evaluating contractual agreements or grants. In particular, candidates with experience that includes research assessing how digital healthcare tools (e.g. telehealth, electronic records, telemedicine, mobile health aps, healthcare tool kits, etc.) can improve healthcare quality are encouraged to apply. Division of Patient Safety Organizations (DPSO): Experience with PSO operations or conducting patient safety and healthcare quality improvement projects involving PSOs and/or the Common Formats. Candidates with clinical, legal, and/or safety science experience are encouraged to apply. Division of General Patient Safety (DGPS): Experience in managing, monitoring, and evaluating contractual agreements as evidenced by COR II certification. In particular, candidates with experience that includes supporting IT development and/or patient safety measurement projects are encouraged to apply. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Basic Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor’s or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. Please see the “Required Documents” section of this announcement for more information. -AND- Minimum Qualifications: In addition to the above Basic Qualification requirement, you must have one-year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing at least 3 of the 5 following: Implementing policies regarding research grant review and/or administration. Reviewing research reports and material on healthcare delivery. Directing contractors on evaluation activities, technical assistance, and/or quality assurance. Representing the organization at meetings with stakeholders, contractors, and/or other organizations.
