Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Developing and implementing public affairs plans, policies, and procedures. 2) Providing advice and guidance to senior leaders on complex public affairs matters and inquiries from the media. 3) Preparing/presenting organizational briefings to a variety of stakeholders, overseeing all organizational messaging (e.g. newsletters, media releases, etc.) 4) AND performing personnel management responsibilities (Such as Team leading, Team Supervising). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03/GS-13). Conduct a broad public affairs program with responsibility for planning, designing, executing, and evaluating the most difficult and complex national media relations programs and strategies. Directs public affairs programs to promote and implement the agencys programs and mission to inform national media, specialized and general publics.
