To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-H, FG/GS-12 level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience is applying comprehensive knowledge of the functions and characteristics of the National Airspace System (NAS) and aviation nomenclature and experience providing communications support, and/or incident response coordination. This position serves as the Operations Officer in an FAA Service Center Region, Office of Policy, International Affairs & Environment (APL), National Engagement and Regional Administration (ARA). The incumbent is responsible for watch-standing and supporting key managers by providing information and carrying out supporting activities involving events and situations concerning the National Airspace System (NAS), regional and national disasters and contingency operations.
