Utilizing classification guides and/or information security policies and procedures to protect classified information; 2. Providing advice regarding all security matters to ensure compliance with regulations; And 3. Analyzing information to develop security approaches to protect classified information. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. This position is in support of the Military Commissions Defense Organization (MCDO), which is responsible for providing defense legal services to detainees being tried in military commissions convened under the Military Commissions Act of 2009. This position serves as a Defense Information Security Officer on a MCDO defense team and requires expertise on a broad range of security duties, including overseeing information security, classification guidance, and protective orders.
