AIRPLANE PILOT

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess an undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university. (Graduate Degree from an accredited civilian academic college or from an equivalent professional military education school is optimum.) ~AND~ Must possess Federal Aviation Administration certifications awarded from accredited civilian aviation programs ~OR~ have aviation certifications from accredited military aviation schools. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least One (1) year of specialized experiences at the GS-12 level; AND/OR at least Thirty-six (36) months experience in civilian aviation programs: or, military service aviation programs (active duty or reserve components); or, in the Army National Guard Aviation Support facility; or, Air National Guard Wing/Operations Group. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES: 1. May be required to travel by military or commercial air to conferences, meetings, or other functions away from the normal duty station. 2. Work may require access to classified information. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance. 3. The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. 4. Qualifications for this position require the pilot to have graduated from USAF or USN Undergraduate Flying Training (UFT). 5. Pilots are required to maintain the same medical standards as USAF military pilots.
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This position is located at unit level in the Air National Guard (ANG) Aviation Wing, Operations Group at flying units in the ANG. Its paramount purpose is to pilot a unit-equipped(UE) airplane. DEFINITION OF AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION: Area 1 = Officer members of the Louisiana National Guard. Area 2 = Applicants who are eligible for immediate membership and employment in the Louisiana National Guard.
